Great Way to Loose Weight and Keep it off FOREVER!

Last year my husband and I decided it was time to loose weight.  What do you do though?  We met up with a fellow at the State Fair in Tampa, Florida, and I'm telling you this guy is great!

What about him, well, here's the scoop, he sells these great books, of course he sells it right?  Just like everything at a State Fair!  Really though, we decided to give his book a try.  This is not for the faint of heart, it wasn't easy, but I lost approx. 20 pounds in just a few months, and now a year later I'm down 30 pounds and haven't gained anything back!!!

This is mainly a change of habit, a new way of eating instead of a 'diet' which is why I think I've stayed at my current weight for so long.

The name of the book is Fat to Skinny and it's very low carb, we started with only 20 carbs a day, do you know how difficult that is?  VERY.  My kids started to loose weight too which wasn't so good, since they're already string beans!

So in honor of my weight loss I will share a few tips with you:
-Get rid of the bread, potatoes and pasta..instant weight loss
-Russell Stover's Sugar Free candy tastes great
-Sugar Free jello and pudding does not taste any different than the regular stuff
..........see, you're already losing weight!

Keep posted, I'll be adding some low-carb recipes here soon!

Graduation Cake

This is a graduation cake, the bottom layer is chocolate, then filled with raspberries and topped with a layer of white cake...DELICIOUS!

Strawberry Pie

Last week I picked 15 pounds of strawberries, so of course I had to save some from the freezer and make a strawberry pie...doesn't it look good?

Instead of just tempting you with the looks, I'll give you the recipe as well! Enjoy!

Strawberry Glace Pie
1 baked 9 inch pie crust

1 pkg cream cheese
6 cups of strawberries
1 cup sugar
3 T corn starch
1/2 c water

Mix the cream cheese until soft and spread on the bottom of your baked crust.
Mash enough strawberries to equal one cup.
Put the remaining berries over your cream cheese.
Place the cornstarch and sugar in a pan, slowly add the water and the mashed berries, stir constantly and bring to a boil, boil for 1 minute and pour over the berries in your crust!

Cool for about 3 hrs or until set, then enjoy!
